Failsafe Launch New Video |

Preston’s FAILSAFE have completed their first ever music video for their new single “Hope”, released November 3rd. Directed by Craig Young, the band spent 14 hours playing in front of a seemingly brain dead audience, before a climatic, tele-smashing end. Singer James Norris explains: "Craig has a really funny clip of me trying to smash the TV on the floor for the first time. We were really conscious of trying not to hurt the people sat in front of me, or me severing my toes, so we had a couple of practice runs before we actually went for it. Everything was in place, the cameras were rolling, everyone’s eyes were on the screen as I hoisted it above my head, it was a pretty cool feeling - I’ve never had so much Samsung at my disposal before! As I smashed it to the ground there was a very anti climactic thud as it hit the cold concrete and somehow, 37 inches of TV managed to spin itself around and land perfectly on its feet, as if I'd placed it there ready to hook it up with some Futurama! “Im so glad it was on camera- the ultimate rock cliché massacred by my good self. It’s OK though, I smashed the living hell out of it with the next two takes” Bouncing Tele’s not withstanding, the band are very pleased with the final cut: “The experience was great for us, it was exciting and fresh, it was like playing a 14 hour show. We gave it everything and probably sweat enough to sink a small ship between us. Working with Craig was awesome too- he's got it looking like a hollywood blockbuster."

Album “Hell Is For Heroes” out now |

Following the release of their critically acclaimed eponymous third album last year, Hell Is For Heroes announce a farewell UK tour through November and December 2008. Hell is for Heroes have announced an indefinite hiatus on the band as they pursue other artistic avenues. These will be the last dates the band will play for the foreseeable future. Hell Is For Heroes have established themselves as a powerful live act. They have toured across the world with bands as diverse as Biffy Clyro, Reuben, Aerogramme, 'A', The Lucky Nine, Hundred Reasons, Sparta, thisGIRL, Feeder and Papa Roach. The band remains a powerful live draw – as recently as April 2007 selling out a 7 date UK tour. The band latest album ‘Hell is for Heroes’, released June 2007, was a an album of brooding and powerful rock. From the hypnotic wall of guitars of “To Die For” to anthemic, pulsing distortion of first single “You’ve Got Hopes”, from the sweeping vocals of “Once And For All” to the ballsy groove of next single “My Protector”, “Hell Is For Heroes” is an album showcasing a band at their very best and most intense, full of driving rhythm sections and intricate guitar lines overlaid with powerful melodies. The album was mixed and produced by Hell Is For Heroes.

WITHOUT THOUGHT GET DIZZY WITH THE WONDER STUFF! |

Guilford’s WITHOUT THOUGHT have been hand picked to open THE WONDER STUFF’s upcoming “London Eight Legged Groove Machine” show at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on Halloween! Bassplayer John Luck explains how the situation came about: "My older brother first played me The Wonder Stuff when I was nine years old on holiday in Wales. I listened to the "Best Of" CD in the car with him about a million times between the ages of nine and twelve. I was amazed when our manager told me that he'd shown Miles the CD and he'd liked it, was even more surprised when he told me that miles had asked us to open up their sold out anniversary show at Shepherd's Bush Empire. I'm really looking forward to the Wonder Stuff's set, been wanting to see them for the last 10 years, and it's by far the biggest show we've ever played so I'm gonna enjoy myself, even if we do go down like a fucking lead balloon!”. A lot of people may think the Guilford screamo mob is an odd choice of support, but The Wonder Stuff are quick to defend their choice. "We've known about Without Thought for a while now and wanted to give them the opportunity to play at our London Eight Legged Groove Machine show” explains the band. “A lot of fans still wear the original Metallica, Tool & Type O Negative shirts to our shows so they should go down well" |
