First to hit the stage were the Swedes, Sabaton. Their image was an excellent representation of the beefy metal they would boast, with all of the members wearing matching army-style camouflage trousers.

Their image was an excellent representation of the beefy metal they would boast, with all of the members wearing matching army-style camouflage trousers. Their popularity was highly evident in the Purpleturtle tonight, with members of the audience bursting into fits of headbanging when the band played the self titled track of their debut album 'Primo Victoria', which they were modest enough to dedicate to the English. The abbreviated set contained tracks of both albums and the band closed the set with a cross between the popular tracks 'Metal Machine' from the first album and 'Metal Crue' from the second
one 'Attero Dominatus'.
