Rotting Christ

If anyone knows their extreme metal then they surely must know Rotting Christ well. Constantly experimenting with style, this Greek band is yet to put out a poor release. As frontman Sakis and company took the stage, there was an intense roar from the audience.

The use of crunchy riffs combined with a muscular bass was enough to make any high class extreme metal band rethink their own compositions. On top of this, Sakis’ vocal efforts were those that younger good black metal bands favour; they soared over the venue, yet were able to entwine themselves as one with the music. The performance included prime selections from the band’s latest full length Theogonia as well as the band’s classics such as ‘In Domine Sathana’ and ‘Non Serviam’, the latter of which made it to the encore which wound up the evening’s events and left the ears of the audience ringing and bleeding with unholy blasphemies.
