Following the release of their critically acclaimed eponymous third album last year, Hell Is For Heroes announce a farewell UK tour through November and December 2008. Hell is for Heroes have announced an indefinite hiatus on the band as they pursue other artistic avenues. These will be the last dates the band will play for the foreseeable future. Hell Is For Heroes have established themselves as a powerful live act. They have toured across the world with bands as diverse as Biffy Clyro, Reuben, Aerogramme, 'A', The Lucky Nine, Hundred Reasons, Sparta, thisGIRL, Feeder and Papa Roach. The band remains a powerful live draw – as recently as April 2007 selling out a 7 date UK tour. The band latest album ‘Hell is for Heroes’, released June 2007, was a an album of brooding and powerful rock. From the hypnotic wall of guitars of “To Die For” to anthemic, pulsing distortion of first single “You’ve Got Hopes”, from the sweeping vocals of “Once And For All” to the ballsy groove of next single “My Protector”, “Hell Is For Heroes” is an album showcasing a band at their very best and most intense, full of driving rhythm sections and intricate guitar lines overlaid with powerful melodies. The album was mixed and produced by Hell Is For Heroes. The band, formed in early 2001, quickly rose to prominence with their EMI released debut “The Neon Handshake”. Following a split with EMI in 2004 the band followed up their debut with another acclaimed album in “Transmit Disrupt” initially through credible indie label Captains Of Industry before being re – released on esteemed hardcore labels Burning Heart in Europe and Epitaph Records in the U.S. The new album was self released through Golf Records, the label arm of Plastichead distribution. |
